Momotaro is a popular folk hero from Japan. His name, which translates as Peach Boy, comes from the fact that he arrived on this world in a peach. According to legend, he was sent downriver in the fruit by the gods to become the son of an elderly, childless couple. However, the story doesn’t end there. Once Momotaro gets older, he goes on an adventure, infiltrating and defeating a fortress of demons with the help of his friends, a talking dog, a monkey, and a pheasant. His victory brings peace to the land, not unlike this pleasing tea.
